Here's why OZZY is the true king here,

First Black Sabbath album 1970,
Second Black Sabbath (paranoid) album 1970,  inspiring most EVERY good hard rock riff ever made. Even your def leppards and such, they know it, and now you know it. Elvis was cool dont get me wrong, My Mom loves em',
but OZZY is the ELVIS that the "not so happy" people turn to, and 32 years later, selling out EVERY SHOW.
From what I understand, ELVIS stole his ideas :o  from someone, somewhere, or something like that, OZZY is a true pioneer. No one was doing ANYTHING resembling what The SABs did in 70.  ;D

Elvis is cool, but OZZY is the man, no doubt, sauerkraut!

Did you know that Elvis had 5 feet of Sh** in his colon when he died

I like Ozzy...

Now hes doing some cheesy sitcom with his kids or something....

He's just a bundle of nerves.. I saw him in an interview and he was borderline nervous wreck, and stuttering, shaking... and just on edge,,

He Rocks... Im just not a Sab Fan, other than Tech Ex..

I like Solo Oz like Bark at the moon and No more tears... what a f****ing masterpiece...

My religion won't allow me to listen to the devils music... So that pretty much rules out hanson also.. ;D

(That was a joke.. Im not religious)

yeah, just havin some fun with ya vox. I'm getting ready to watch that sitcom tonight  for sure. I've been into the OZ man since fourth grade when my older brother was into them. A few years later, he was asking me to tape things for him. It's been all down hill since. ;D

On another topic, I had them delete that thread for me, partly because of what you said about "inviting the kids in." Then I saw what was going to happen, so I figured I'd ask for it to be deleted. It had a lot of views though. Then some idiot chimed in and I got started in the flame war thing, I didnt even want to look at it. POOF! gone, and I deleted the song from Nowhere as well.

It's for the best I guess because I wouldn't want to be known in the forum for that alone. I appreciate Waldo's stance on the issue, and he is right.

Elvis was excellent, in his time, and his newly formed genre...  But Ozzie is excellent in his time, genre, etc...

It's very difficult to compare the two...

[Over at HRcom],

I'm the one who said, that after watching the TV show, I sort of feel sorry for Ozzy, 'cause he seemed to be in really bad shape, and IMO "Ozzy looks almost as bad as Elvis".

Thanx for posing this interesting question, that's a bit of a take-off of what I said on HR.

IMO, Elvis had his day, and his record's are there, for all to see. Elvis ruled the roost, in his day, but Ozzy's another highly eccentric guy, with a great presense and body of work, who's apparently burned himself out, pretty badly.

I like both Elvis & Ozzy, for the great & different contribution they both have made, and in Ozzy's case, continues to make. ;)

I guess the less we know about a music artists personal
life, the longer their positive image lasts in our Brain.
Elvis got fat and died on a toilet bowl. Looking at Ozzy on TV, I don't think we would be surprised if he died on a toilet bowl as well.

I don't think you can compare their Music or Fame, because they are and were so different. Both were great at what they did.

???

I have to get back in the seventis now...

The first thing, I heard with elvis was
"His latest flame" and I was playin it like a loop ;D

Then later I heard the guitar intro to "Paranoid"...

What is THIS!!!

I dont now who is better, but my biggest reaction then, was to hear that guitar intro, and that speed  :o it was my favorite until I heard "Speedking" ;D by Deep Purple
