hey there

trying to uplaod a song fore I go but just get error message.. tried twice last night and once this morning.. from my status markers seems like the file is uploaded don't know which end its on.. ma's ISP tends to disconnect a lot, even in the middle of activity.

here's the error message:

Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Premature end of script headers: /usr/lib/cgi-bin/upload3.cgi
its about 12:05 now, not sure how long ago it was but not too long, I can try again and get the excact time.. I'm trying to pack and leaving the computer to do its thing while I work

peace

hey.. back to the computer.. been working on getting the van ready all day.. needed a spare tire.. finally throwing in some 2x3s and cabinets I snagged out of the trash to hold things in place and toss it in

anyway, to the point.. Latest version of Internet Explorer, 6.0.2600.

Also Norton Firewall, antivirus, and Naviscope adblocker running

I tried again after I posted but no go.

Send me a screenshot of the browser when the error occurs, also, let me know the size of the file you are uploading.

There's no error on this end, others are uploading just fine.

back again 12:10 am here.. tried again but wasn't watching at the moment it gliched, I'll try again and see if I can be here when it goes, though as far as I know it is just showing the upload page when it goes with the file name in the window

the error message is
INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
it was in caps like that
then the was something else before what I copied above
like i say, i think it is more likely something at this end in my configuration.. I'm changing that slightly and trying again, I'm packing but can work on stuff in this room more and see if I can be watching the moment it goes

I tried two different files, one was 3,100KB and the other was 5,080KB

you want a screen shot of the browser? it seemed to be just the regular page, nothing changed when I hit the upload button, it just stays there while the connection lights dlash looking like a normal upload.. I could copy what is in the address bar.. but there might have been some other page flash on before the error.. whatever comes after the upload page is done

I'll try again now and eventually on another computer and ISP in a week or two. hey if i wasn't in a hurry I could stop by Calgary! Maybe on the way back again, tho?

peace

I'm always up for a visit, yup!

A screen-shot often gives me just enough info to figure out what's going on.  The info in the address bar helps, and the actual error message as well, can help me track down where the error is sitting.

That was all th error message I got
but.. I'm still; delayed and don't want to get into it
so I tried.. disabled naviscope since it does crash in the background sometimes..

now it went through to the upload page with error messages

all the time it seems to upload first.. no instant error, but about the time it took to uplaod the size file sent

I tried first the bigger file and got the white "server not found" then refeshed and got the uplaod page w/ errors as follows
No file chosen
Error in passing script, no sid
Error in passing script, no aid
Error in passing script, no alid
File is not an mp3

then tried with the shorter file and it just went stright to the upload page with errors

Error in passing script, no sid
Error in passing script, no aid
Error in passing script, no alid

so ?

Sounds like you have ISP errors on top of cache errors, possibly browser errors as well.

Your browser is not passing the proper information to the script, or has cached the error page since your ISP dropped out amidst upload, etc.

Try clearing your cache completely, including any cookies, turn off ALL background applications, and retry the upload.

Also, what ISP are you using?

erols.com and it isn't very satisfactory.. though ma stays with it rather than deal with moving.. a lot of disconnects, and I've tweaked and ponged but it still drops out.. maybe the modem as well.. too long a phone line.. no ti,me to deal, leave in a couple hours

thanks though.. will try when I getback and try from another machine and ISP in AK possibly

Hi,
I'm getting a similar problem.  I've upload before a couple of months ago with no problems but now somethings screwed up.  Attached is a gif of the error message

Looks like an issue with your ISP, or your local cache.  Clear your local cache, and ensure that your ISP hasn't cached that page.  Then force a refresh, and return to the artist admin and try again.
