Hey Waldo,

I'm not going to bother you with an e-mail after reading how many you get, but I'm having a problem with a tune I just put up. I keep getting a "no direct linking" page but I followed the procedure when I put the link up at homerrec. If I did direct link, it was unintentional. I linked it the same way I did another song and that one worked fine. I'm assuming your working out some bugs with the new system, just figured I'd let you know about this. I'm sure it's something minor. Whenever you get a chance, thanks. What you do is appreciated.

What browser/version and operating system are you using?

Internet Explorer and Windows XP, and Music Match, not the free version, I bought it.
1.3 ghz AMD athlon 128ram--- high speed cable modem

I just got the same message again "direct linking not allowed" and I made the link as you said to. I restarted my computer 4 times already. I shall try a fifth.

Are you running a firewall, or web-monitoring software?

McCaffee Virus Scan and firewall, set to minimum.

As long as it can be played by others, I'm not too concerned with it. I don't know if it works for others because no one has responded to my thread in "the mixing clinic"
That might be because of a bad tune, not a bad host.

I've removed some of the protection for now, so that it will work. However, for some reason, your browser isn't sending proper data to my servers.

I am reading up on IE6's environment variables now trying to figure out a possible cause.

Some days I really hate microsoft...

Thanks Waldo, your right. I guess some of my tunes might be too strange though, and maybe I should keep certain songs to myself. I'm fairly new to computers, internet, etc. and I don't want to be the cause of friction........... actually, I'm the result OF :)
