Title: trouble playing songs
Post by: rguagenti on December 13, 2004, 11:44:32 AM
I have encoded my songs from Cakewalk Home Studio 2004XL to MP3 with the intergrated Cakewalk MP3 encoder.

When I post the MP3s on the website no one can get them to play. They are getting codecs errors.

Additionally, songs that I had posted months ago and at one time were playable, are no longer playable.
Did something change. Is anyone else having this problem?

FYI the songs are located at www.nowhereradio.com/rpg/singles. The lates song is Her Reply. The other 2 songs, at one time were playable.

What's up. PLease help. Thanks.

Absolutely nothing has changed here. Re-encode them with a more standard codec, such as LAME and you'll have a better chance. Additionally, if users are getting 'codec' errors, it's most likely their Windows Media Player is pooched from having too many conflicting codecs installed. Tell them to use a better player, WMP has really gone downhill.
