Artists: Post a link to your NoWhere page here, and someone will write a review on your page!

Reviewers: Check out links from the artists, and post reviews on their page!

There will be a contest in the near future on quality of reviews, and the artists themselves!

hello.  i am fairly new here and have a new song called  "sirian persuasion"

it exists in five movements with styles ranging from ambient jazzy post rock, to experimental, to down-tempo groove..

i would love and appreciate any feedback and would be willing to return the favor.

Wow, that's a heavy-duty listen, but well worth it!

I've left a review on your page.

Heya folks,

Taking a break from reviewing today myself (need to get some sleep), but will be back at it in the morning.  In the meantime, review eachothers work.

Also, VOXVENDOR, step up to the plate man!

KeyMyek..

I reviewed your song on your artist page....

I liked it... Very "haunting"... Good sound....

Little bit too long, for my likings, but I didn't get bored during that 10 minutes, so thats a good thing..

Good Work..

HenriK....

Loved your stuff, and a wonderful sound....  Great vocal layering... I would've liked to hear drums and bass etc.. but other than that, theres some darn good writing there..

Good Work!'

Thanks VV! It's always good to hear that someone gets at least something out of your music.

I'm scouting around for people to play with (someone who can actually play a keyboard, a drummer and a bass player) but I don't seem to be able to meet the right people. At 22 this might seem a little silly, but I just have a really hard time meeting the right musicians. It's probably the whole 'my song is my baby'-thing...

Regards,
/Henrik

Buy a drum machine, a bass and get on with it  *LOL*

Forget about other people... Your obviously passionate about your sound, like I am about mine...  I am in the EXACT same position as you are.. and I do it all myself......

A band is different, but what you and I do are very individual arts...  Very private....

So as I said... buy a bass, a drum machine and get on with it... Lets hear some more Bro!

Alien Telegrapgh...

Your stuff, Is pretty cool... Not really my cup of tea.. Im more of a rock/pop fan, so maybe someone who is more in tune with world music can step up here..

It sounds good.. nice recording... that much I can say...

      Voxvendogr.......

    Thanks for lendin' an ear.
Checked out your site. I'd say your much more than just a fan of rock/pop,
more like a top notch purveyor!
I must admit, you won't find much pop or rock in my teacup, but I do hear more than I need, and your's sounds more interesting than most. Very high quality production on all counts!

Is it really worth the trouble of trying to program a drum machine into sounding like a real drummer in a real room? IMO, no, been there. Takes days and days and I still haven't been able to come close. ;) I could just be bad at it.
What I just might do is to buy a freaking set myself. $ after the summer.

Locust...

Well, I get a pretty realistic sound and I spend an hour at most... and Im not a very proficient programmer....

What I do is, Program a decent snare and Bass drum beat... and then I overdub live hats and cymbals over top of it...

My song "Something Wrong" is a good example...
http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/rockpop/voxvendor/singles

But, I do see your logic....

A little bit of insight...  Why do they have to sound real....?  Why not just program a cool beat and do your stuff, and come up with a neat new sound..??

Hope im helping in some small way locust..

Thanks for the compliment.....   If ya like the sound so much, do me a favour and buy my cd...... Im getting a complex..

Im told it's decent.. but have only sold one in like 3 months... *LOL*

Independent Rock sucks....   Well the music part doesn't, but the part about getting your music across definately does......

Thanks for listening.. and keep up the good work with yours.....

Hey here is some, insight... (I love offering insight)....
Why not put a cool chick/dude singing on top of the music, and commericalize it a bit....

It would be a totally new sound.....

OK Waldo, You've probably already surfed through these before, but gimme some ink. (and try not to be really hard)  I realize that the three tunes I have up are DEMO at best, but who knows, maybe I'll get around to fine tuning them at some point.

Thanx, Your Bud from CT, Tom.

Heya Fm...  I'll get back to reviewing soon.

There is the pressing matter of making some money to keep NWR alive next month that I have to take care of right now...

Are you signed up for any of the CD programs yet?  They don't cost you any money, but can make you some..

Hello,

I put these songs in other spots around here but I guess they get placed in specific spots for specific responses, very cool.

Flame on!

Anything you want to give feedback to, thanks and please be BRUTAL.

I won't be doing any serious ink for a while, as my schedule is getting nuts (going to do a show in a few hours, just finishing up upgrades to NWR servers, which I stayed up all last night working on, plus I got this damn cold which I haven't been able to shake for what seems like a month).

Feel free to review eachothers tunes for a while until I can do some.  And keep in mind, eventually, me reviewing something will be a very special occasion!  Unless I ever can afford to hire staff...

Okay, probably missed a few here and there, if I have, my appologies, haven't had much time to listen with an ear well enough to think of something in my mind...

AutoCad, already wrote ya one bud!  Check in your reviews section.

B.Sabbath, no review needed, your tunes speak for themselves... Wolves and cats has been on the top of my metal personal playlist for some time.

Anyone who hasn't heard his tunes yet, get your ass over to his site.

Bubba, listened to this tune so many times, I think I reviewed it already somewhere...  But anywho, I loved the lyrics, made me crack up a couple times, visualized the whole thing (unfortuneatly with me at the end of the barrell)...  Guess that's why I'm single!!!

FM (Tom), jeeze man I'm slow... I really have off times sometimes.  Yep, I've listened to the tunes more than a few times.  Each time I kinda get this 'Elton'ish feel from them.  Very soulful, rythmic, and often moving.  I could almost see the crowd holding up them lighters until they explode...  Only complaint would be the mastering, which doesn't seem to have been done yet.  Some normalization would really be a +.

leakhim, another one I know I've listened more than a few times!  Musta reviewed it somewhere...  Elena has a very unique voice, is that a natural lisp, or heavy d'essing?  Might play with the mix a bit, but like the song for its mid 60's popish lyrical quality.  I imagine the ol' ice cream shop with all the shiney 'new' classic cars kicking around...

Ulli, Listened to 'True Love' a few dozen times while testing the automated stations.  Very moody environmental e-music.  A trip and back, only without the need to insert anything in any bodily orifices...  What exactly is she saying anyways, I'm not sure of the language?

If I missed anyone, my appologies!  Just b i t c h at me and I'll get right on it.

Also, if you would like a review, it's best to post it in a 'new' topic, so it can get more views!

Hi, yep this song makes travelling cheap :) I dunno what she's singing, it's Hindi and I don't understand it.... The other lyrics are words by the Buddah sung by one of two singers I usually work with ;)

Cheers

Thought it might be hindi, but I heard 'ce casa' in there a few times, and thought it might be another language just sung eastern style...

You should really find out, could be something naughty!

Sounds like you had a little fun with this one, lyrics are pretty far in the back, and hard to hear (almost impossible).

Instrumentaly, fits exactly what I'd expect from the blues!
