I reviewed this one already for you, did I not?
W.
Yeah, you already did....
You told me my bass was panned to one side, when It's clearly down the middle...
Next........
;D
Lol, is that the one where I forgot my balance knob was not centered? Hehe, blame it on the deaf guy to fuck up on un-balanced monitors.
W.
He He....
I sounds pretty good. I like the rockin guitar. The lyrics are a little dificult to understand.
I've heard this, from your link on the homerecording bbs. I already told you that it's an inspiration for what you can do in a home recording setup, and that it kicks ass. I don't want to inflate your ego any further ;D
Yeah, My head is already so big, I've had to have all the entrance doors to my home enlarged :D
vox,
you screw. you didn't tell me you were a rock star! I want to be one too!
Good tune dude, vocals could be a little more in front, but I liked it a lot. Wait, Dick Clark just came in. I'll give it a 8.5 and think you could dance to it. he he he he
dtb
I try and keep my stardom quite..
shhhhhhhhh!
Thanks DTB...
VOX,
Sounds like a hit to me. If that's not, I don't think I know what is. I wasn't crazy about the recording, but nice tune. I listened to the other tune "vocal example" and it sounded so much better. Nice voice.
Good tunes.
Hey Sabbath...
I agree......I think the weakness you are hearing is the drums... I hate them and compared to my new song, they suck and are about to be replaced this weekend..
If ya get a moment, check out my new song... It's a reworked version of the "Vocal Example"
http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/rockpop/voxvendor/singles...
Thanks for listening
Called "Patience in my head"
VOX,
Good Tune! I see what you mean. This sounds a lot better. I REALLY think this is a hit. Nice sound on the vocals. I will again say your voice is great for this. I don't know too much about radio play,(stopped listening to the radio) but I think this ones ready. The keys were cool but I probably would have had a bit more fun with the solo. For what this is geared towards, I would say it works well though.
All in all, really good stuff. Why isn't it on the radio?
Thanks Sabbath....
About the radio thing.... There are stations who will play me... But the problem is, I don't tour or perform live and once you get a radio following, your fans get ansy and want to see you live....If you don't promote and tour, they lose interest...
Im happy just being a studio artist... but Im actually thinking broadcasting a few "concerts" over the net, sometime in the far future....
I've actually had university radio station DJ's approach me, and pretty much guarantee me that my stuff would be in the "College-Top-Ten"..
Im just not really interested in that.... Im really getting into this internet thing, and I think once all the bugs and other junk get sorted out, were gonna see some good Indie webcast concerts and internet radio support... People's cars will have wireless internet connections to their radio and they can pic the songs they want to hear..... and old fasioned radio will be a thing of the past...
No need to go out to clubs to watch bands, when you can watch them Via webcast and record the show... etc...
It does sound a bit far fetched, but I think we are still in very primitive times, and in the next 10 years we are gonna see internet music biz jump...
Well hopefully...
Joe
Hey VOX, how come you haven't listed your album on the Self Ship program yet?
Truthfully I didn't know about it.....
Tell me, Tell me....
Jeez, another one that never reads the e-mails I send out?
It's all listed in your album manager (providing you have an album set up). Just click on the one link that says 'Self Ship' on it, it has the details on the sign-up form.
W.
Unfortunately your correct..
Unless they are directly personally addressed to me, I just consider them form letters, and figure If I really needed to know something,. or have a question, I could just ask....
Truthfully.. If the subject is not interesting to me, and It's not addressed personally to me, I just skim over it...
Reading those would take important posting time away from here... *LOL*
Joe
Okay, well, imagine this: If I had to address each and every message to every artist personally... How many fucking days would I be spending mailing people?
If it comes from NWR, it's coming from ME, personally to YOU!
W.
I know, I know
Im the dirty one in this...
I really should read them....
I do get points for honesty though don't I?
*LOL*
Actually, I know you can't address them all.... But what I mean is.... If I think it's just an announcement or something, I always say to myself "I'll read it later"... and usually "later" doesn't happen..
Now, when you and I are corresponding directly, thats different... Then I read it as quick as I see it....
My best Excuse:
I am signed up to about 10 BBS's and and I get update messages for plug-ins I downloaded a year ago and don't even use....and all the places I've ordered stuff from are always sending me "Today's Deals" email....
I get about 10 of these "form" letters in the box every day, so you can see how much time I would spend reading them...If I did...
Tell you what.... If I see anymore NWR stuff.. I will try my best to scan over it.... ;)
Joe
(You gotta appreciate my honesty though..)
I could have said... Yeah, I read them, I print them off and have them framed, and hung on my favorite walls....
(I have used that one before... But for you Waldo, nothing but the truth...)
*smiles*
I get between 600-900 e-mails daily, and manage to read them all, although not entirely in-depth, I always respond....
And you know how busy I am ;)
W.
Come on, I might be Candian, but 900 emails a day, and you read and respond to them all....????
If you really do... I commend you on your scheduling... I don't even have time for 10 usually *LOL*
The trick is to do it ASAP, which is difficult, but the only way to stay ahead. And also keep in mind that it takes only about 1 second to read an e-mail. And when you can type up to 150wpm, it doesn't take long to write a reply either. You also have to keep in mind that you don't respond to every single blasted e-mail you get, unless it warrants the response.
I'm in front of computers 8-18 hours a day, so e-mail is always open, and downloading new messages every 10 minutes. I hear e-mail come in, I glance over at my preview screen, and respond if neccessary.
W.
Very good tunes Voxvendor, I listened to 'Nothing to hide' and 'In my head'. Fine guitar playing; the vocals were great too...just a bit hard to hear. Maybe, the mix is recorded a bit too loud. But it could be my monitors, i'm beginning to worry about them. Great job!
Thanks Terrie.. glad you liked it..
