Whenever I try to log on to the main site to update my artist page, it just takes me back to the homepage. How the heck do I log on? Am I hopelessly retarded or is there some problem going on right now?
thanks,
Chris
First: What's your username on the NWR account you are trying.
Second: Have you not tried click on 'artists administration' in the top right hand corner of your screen, once you have logged in?
Well, it seems to be fixed now, but the problem *was* that I couldn't log in at all (and therefore couldn't access the "artist admin" link). When I clicked "login" it would just take me back to the homepage rather than to the login screen (as it does now).
So, all's well now. Thanks for the response.
Chris
Musta had some corrupt cookies on your system... Nothing was changed here!
Oops. Well, it's doing it again. When I go to the home page and click on "login" it simply re-loads the home page. I tried going to other areas of the site and clicking "login" but it just re-loads whatever page I'm on.
I've cleaned out my cookies folder and set my browser to accept all cookies so I'm fairly confident this isn't a problem on my end. Am I the only one experiencing this?
A thought: both times this problem has happened have been around the same time (2 am. California time). Is there any site maintanance going on around this time by any chance?
Thanks,
Chris
No, maintenance is done manually, and nothing to do with logins. No other reports of problems have occured.
Login information is stored in a cookie, which is user side only.
Try deleting any cookies that deal with nowhereradio.com and more importantly, media.nowhereradio.com, cookies are most likely being corrupted on your system, as the login will return you to the page you clicked on login if it detects a cookie for media.nowhereradio.com, and not nowhereradio.com (meaning one server sees you are logged in from the cookies on your machine, but the other does not, as one of the cookies is damaged or missing).
Also, let me know what browser you are on, and any internet protection software you may have installed, some modify cookies, which could cause a problem such as this. Some cache clearing software, designed to remove traces of internet activity can do this as well.
Hmm. Must be something on my end then. I'm using IE 6.0 on WinME with no protection software. When I was having the problem last night I tried deleting all my cookies, clearing the browser history, and deleting all temp files, but it didn't make a difference. However, immediately after posting here, I tried again and was able to log on. Curious.
I suppose all I have to do whenever it doesn't work is post here :)
