Title: Do listeners need to register?
Post by: SeanH on June 25, 2003, 09:31:13 PM
I've had a couple of people tell me that when they went to listen to my songs they were asked to register. I thought anyone could listen. Do they have to be registered?

Depends on if you set your songs to members only or not!  You, the artists, have the control.

Well, I've made sure that I have the right buttons selected to allow anyone access to my tunes, but still I have had several people assure me that they got a message that they would have to log on or register before they could listen.
At rmms (rec.music.makers.songwriting) it often happens that people complain that they either can't figure out nowhereradio's interface or they can't get it to work or whatever.

Users DO NOT have to register to listen if you have it set that way, and there is NO WAY that they would get that message if the setting is right!

Users NEVER have to register to stream, only to download, if you have chosen that option!  Therefor, there isn't even code on the site to ask them to register!
