I uploaded an image yesterday and was able to view it all day.  It is not there today.  I tried to upload the same image, but it still does not come up......even though it says "update successful".

It's there, and I see it without issue.

Are you using any sort of 'paranoia ware' that falsely modifies headers passed to the server?  If so, you may be triggering the bandwidth theft protection system.

You were right in your assessment.  I had downloaded software from ProxyConnection.com which is supposed to increase or enhance a dial-up connection in order for pages to load faster without having to get a DSL.  After I disabled the program, I was able to see the image in question.

It looks like I am going to have to bite the bullet and get DSL afterall. ProxyConn did make various pages load a lot faster (such as ebay pages with lots of thumbnails).  But it did nothing to help with audio streams such as No Where Radio.  I still have to use Lo-Fi in order to hear anything.

Thanks for your help!

Yeah, you'll never get more than 56k out of a modem (technically 32k, with a max d/l around 8k), and those applications only 'access the server' more than once to attempt to speed up the download.  Makes very little difference really.

Lo-fi streams need 24k, hi-fi needs 128k min.

Most of them are just spy-ware that gather the information as to what you surf, and when, and then they turn around and sell that info to the highest bidder...

This is a different problem than the one discussed earlier.  I am trying to upload a different image to my artist page and it does not seem to be working, even though it says "update successful".  The image is 71kb and is in .jpg format.

If you go to www.nowhereradio.com/thejohnbrownband and you see a band of guys playing on stage.......this is the wrong picture.

I see what looks to be an artistic CD cover with 'john brown' in the lower right.

Your ISP, or your browser, has probably cached the old image.  Clear your cache or force a refresh and you'll see the new image.
