Just a couple questions:
1.) My site stats for RUINER say that the song "Deadtech" was played 27 times by the same IP address but they appear to have started within a few seconds of each other (one started at 10:28:16 one at 10:28:19 etc.) how is this possible?

2.) (related question) In the past we've had a former band member "game" our playback in an attempt to have our account pulled. If the above problem is a result of this yet again is there any way of avoiding this? Would having the download be "member only" help?

Thanks.

It's possible that some site 'spiders' or 'robots' not following exclusion rules might troll your page and attempt playback, and it fails.  It's also possible someone attempted to game, but if it's coming from the same IP address, it does not affect the charts at all (charts only count unique IP's), so it defeats gaming anyway.

In the past, this would show up as an 'error' playback, but unfortuneatly, only one player will give the server that feedback to tell us if it failed playing or not, so from time to time you may see this in your stats.

In the future, there will be mechanisms in place to prevent this from occuring, with time and number limits on the streams per unique listener, etc..

With NWR4 (the new revision on its way), there will also be extremely detailed stats available, although I haven't decided if they'll be available to pay members only or not at this time (they use alot more system resources and bog down the server).
