Gosh, my previous question did not post correctly!

Anyway, in brief, I have hifi audio streaming problems, that the server apparently can't stream fast enough for Winamp, and the result is pauses as it buffers.

I don't see any other network or i'net loading issues on my side, and other mp3 services seem to stream fine.

Any comments or suggestions?

'Other' sites don't stream, they use DLAPB (download and playback).  'Other' sites also cap the bitrate at 128kbps single bit rate as a max (most are 96kbps).  'Other' sites have multi-million dollar investors, multi-million dollar facilities, ties to major industry, and hundreds of staff.

Waldo has negative numbers in both bank accounts, small change in his grease, oil, and tar covered pants, a few small servers put together with his own hands, all this sitting in his fathers basement where he is stuck because he can't afford to pay even low priced rent, at most 2 hours a day to sit down and think (I'm paving roads 12-18hrs a day now to get by, even with the hernia and bum knee), and zero staff.

Waldo is b i t c h y right now, and will be until s h i t turns around.

NWR4 is infinately stalled, because 1) obviously I don't got time, 2) previous projects to attempt to get things going failed horribly, and in fact contributed to my debt, 3) people have pretty much resigned themselves to milking me until there is nothing left.

Look around, for months, nearly a year, I've been talking about solutions.  About 0.0002% of the people out there using NWR have chipped in 5 or 6% of what is needed (not just monetary).  The rest?  Well, obvious.

Don't blame the "community" for taking advantage of your free service. If you offer it, of course they'll take advantage of it. That's not milking. Don't blame the community if you can't make a profitable business plan from what's otherwise a good service that the "artist community" wants. The profit's there. Just cut off all the freebies, and funnel the remainder of subscribers into pay accounts,... or f#ck 'em.

Anyway, apparently my f#ckin' posts posted correctly, but the f#ckin' server is slow as f#ck popping the page!

1) Told you I was b i t c h y.

2) NWR is NOT supposed to be a 'service', it's a community.  Indies working together with indies, indies helping eachother out.  NOT JUST ME HELPING OTHERS

3) I have NEVER sought 'profit' out of NWR, nor have I had the desire to run it as any sort of 'corporate' bullshit to milk fellow indies!

4) The SERVER isn't slow at all, it's the third ISP from the backbones line that is slow, and only half-duplex.  IF you had read through other sections of the forum, you would know why it's slow, and what the solution is!

5) I SPECIFICALLY stated 'NOT JUST MONETARY', meaning MONEY is not the solution, and not the whole problem!

IF A COMMUNITY IS TO SURVIVE, IT MUST CONSIST OF MORE THAN ONE...

I'm not attacking you man, you're good s h i t, you just MUST realise what NWR is supposed to be.  I'm SICK of being compared to these corporate yahoos that want a market share of the indie industry!

I'm not comparing you to the corporate concerns, and I know you're indie-minded and not just an mp3 profiteer. I know there's a difference. You do support this community, and I know there's not much given back in return.

I can download as well as anyone, but streaming is cool too. I like to use it when I can. If the  b re ak u ps  bother me, I'll just download instead. If there's a posted solution, I'll search for it, when I can find the time. I'm not arguing with you. Thanx.
