Saturday, March 12, 2005 - Just a quick test of the Oscar Schmidt by Washburn guitar I just got. Starts with bridge p/u and moves to both, has heavy tube preamp distortion to a SS Fender amp. - 3/23/05 BTW, drums mic'd w/ MXL991 pair x/y'd overhead. Single speaker amp mic'd sm57 near, and Studio Projects B3 distant. Mixed both sounds together, each not good alone. And looped the drums after recording - had to pick a part I played w/out messing up as much....  March 5, 2005 - Hi, I just wanted to see what it would be like to mixdown from my Korg to my MR8 so I took a jam I did in January to test it out. Mixing isn't easy there's a lot of decisions to make. I kinda made as few as I could, so not sure yet what to think about this except for the final level being decent. And I plugged in again....

Sept. 28, 2004 - this is the most popular track on this page. It has a decent feel to it and it has a good build. It's short so it doesn't get worn out. Nothing in it repeats, so it is interesting throughout. Aug. 26, 2004 - - I took a break for fun and plugged in. Started w/ drums and got this cool snare sound and decided to go with it. It needs another mix I think I switched in a parametric EQ band during mixing or something, makes it intersting tho...you'll see it after a few seconds. (c)2004 John P. Hillman
